This month we are not having a traditional class calendar. If you would like to take a class please call us with a time and date you would like to take a class and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If you do not see a class that you are interested in taking or had a different class in mind please call, write an email or stop in.

For parents looking for a project for children we have put together some kits starting at $6.49.

Sherry Victora will be teaching Rings and Things on the 11th of July from 10:30-4:30 cost of instruction for the class is $75.00 and materials will vary an estimate would be around $35.00.

Genuine Article celebrated their Grand Opening on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 with glass artist Brook Hoskins. He demonstrated his fabulous glass blowing and torchwork techniques in Borocilicate Glass.

The Genuine Art-icle is not just your typical new retail store on the block. It is a studio, a workshop, a gallery, a bead shop and a hands on classroom. You may be thinking that is a lot in one store, but we have something no other store has, Betty James Hoppensteadt.
For over 30 years Betty has been a professional artist and art instructor whose interests have ranged over many different facets of the art world from sketch drawing to lampwork bead making she has almost done it all. From this life long journey and passion the idea of “The Genuine Art-icle” was born. It is an eclectic space furnished by Betty and contains the art that is closest to her heart, while still allowing her to create custom products as well as display local and international artists who share the passion for the same. Also do not forget one of the corner stones of this unique space is our workshops, taught by Betty on a one-on-one or a group basis.
